Be of good cheer(s)!
This is the time of year when elves come out to play, when cookies are baking, when reindeer are flying…and when some pretty creative cocktails get the winter spotlight!
Port Aransas restaurants are making that spotlight extra bright this year, with drinks that are spreading Christmas cheer and making you say, “Cheers!”
Virginia's on the Bay, "Poinsettia"
Similar to a mimosa, but made with cranberry juice and orange liqueur, is the “Poinsettia'' champagne cocktail from Virginia’s on the Bay. Like the petals on a poinsettia, this seasonal libation won’t last forever, so get it while you can!
Castaways Seafood and Grill, "Peppermint Martini" & "Old Fashioned Christmas"
Castaways has not one, but TWO cocktails to keep you warm this holiday. The Peppermint Martini (pictured above) is made with Rumpleminz, Tito’s Vodka, Creme de Cacoa, and Heavy Cream. The second, an “Old Fashioned Christmas,” is made with Bulleit Rye Whiskey, Cranberry Simple Syrup, Bitters, and Sugar.
Put out your best hat and "Ho, Ho, Ho" when you try the Santa’s Spritz from BlueWater Cowboy Saloon & Mercantile!
The "Fig & Rosemary" cocktail from Tortuga's Saltwater Grill is an understated take on the holiday cocktail. Instead of figgy pudding, you have a figgy drink!
Black Marlin Bar & Grill has a specialty Christmas martini with a sprinkle rim, served up by their very own “elf,” Hannah!
