Port Aransas Community Theatre–Young Frankenstein

"Young Frankenstein" is a musical comedy adapted from Mel Brooks's 1974 film, which spoofs the classic horror story. The story follows Dr. Frederick Frankenstein, who inherits his infamous grandfather's estate in Transylvania and reluctantly embraces his family's legacy. With the help of his hunchbacked assistant Igor and buxom lab assistant Inga, Frederick attempts to reanimate a corpse, with hilarious and monstrous consequences. The musical features a host of memorable characters, including Frederick's eccentric fiancée Elizabeth, the stern housekeeper Frau Blücher, and the misunderstood Monster. Get your tickets to the Port Aransas Community Theatre to enjoy the fun!

Port Aransas Parks & Rec Events

Get into the Halloween spirit island-style when you enjoy events like the Sand Pumpkin Patch! Port Aransas Parks & Recreation is hosting this annual Halloween event on October 25 from 8 a.m. to noon. Head on down to the beach and “carve” your best jack o'lantern face into pumpkins made of sand. Volunteers from Park & Recreation will be there to assist you in creating your best sand pumpkin yet!
 
Port Aransas Parks & Recreation will also be hosting Paranormal Port A: Haunted Hayrides. Hop on this spooky hayride tour from October 27–29…if you dare. This hayride invites all ghosts and ghouls to come and enjoy a fun-filled ride through the town. Have fun singing along to the best Halloween songs while sharing spooky stories about murder, mystery, unrequited love, and Halloween ghosts! The last Halloween event hosted by Port Aransas Parks & Recreation is Trunk or Treat! On October 30, head down to Roberts Point Park from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. to experience the fun. There will be a costume contest for adults, kids, and dogs. Dress to impress! Don't forget about the bounce houses and all the games and prizes that will be there. Cars will be decorated in fun Halloween decor to compete in the best-decorated vehicle contest. So come one, come all, and have a ghostly good time.

Sand Pumpkin Patch Night Glow

Expert sand sculptor Mark Landrum, Port A Sandcastle Guy, will be sharing his incredible talent on October 24th! Mark will be creating a stunning centerpiece sand sculpture near Ave. G and the beach. The sculpture will be illuminated at dusk and stay lit all night, making it perfect for photos! 

Beach, Boos & BBQ

Enjoy it all at the Beach, Boos & BBQ at Cinnamon Shore, happening the weekend before Halloween. Combining fall carnival fun with great food, fun brews, and live music, it's a must-do fall festival weekend for the whole family! Texas Surf Camps Halloween Surf Contest

Texas Surf Camps is hosting the 7th annual Halloween Surf Contest in Port Aransas. All proceeds from this event will help support future Texas Surf Camps events. Get out your best Halloween costume and head to the beach on November 1 at 1 p.m. to hang ten with all the creatures that go bump in the night. In addition to the surf contest, the day will include a tandem surfing event, a silent auction, and a Rubber Ducky Race. Enjoy a day of surfing, fundraising, and family fun!

Bernie's is having a spooktacular Halloween party and costume contest! Drink specials will be available on beer, mixed drinks, and "potions" galore. The Tarpon Inn's Haunted Story

Many employees and guests have heard and seen some unexplainable phenomena in the Tarpon Inn and claim that it is haunted. The most famous haunting story of the Tarpon Inn is of a bride who was stood up on her wedding night. The couple was allegedly staying at the inn when the bride was found hanging from the rafters in the hotel’s honeymoon suite, room 29, after her husband didn't show up for their wedding. Today, visitors staying in the infamous suite claim they can smell the floral scent of her perfume. Some even claim they’ve seen the woman herself. If you dare to have a run-in with a ghost, head to the Tarpon Inn for a truly haunting Halloween night you may never forget.
