Dr. Alain Salvi
European Crane Working Group
Dr. Alain Salvi is a biologist specializing in bird behavior. He has been president of the European Crane Working Group for 12 years. He is also president of a nonprofit nature conservation organization in France - Conservatoire d'espaces naturels de Lorraine, and treasurer for the federation of these associations in France - Fédération des Conservatoires d’espaces naturels.
Dr. Salvi will be presenting an update on the status of the Common Crane (aka Eurasian Crane) in Europe, as well as information on the recent avian influenza outbreak this autumn.
