Wooden Boat Festival & Flynn's Beach Run: October 25–27, 2024
An annual celebration of Port A's boat-building heritage, the Port Aransas Wooden Boat Festival, which began in 2014, is an annual three-day family-friendly event. The day features handcrafted kayaks, paddleboards, skiffs, and sailing boats—as well as historic Farley boats. The Family Boat Build is the central main event, where three to four families build a boat in two and a half days, launching the boats after lunch on Sunday. A Nautical Market features a variety of vendors, including food, arts and crafts, and boat kit vendors. Other activities include a wooden boat showcase, speakers, kids’ activities, and more. You can even row a boat in the harbor!
