Minimum Age to Operate:

Operators must be at least 13 years old.

Ages 13–17 must complete a Boater Education Course and carry a valid certification.

Under 13 must be accompanied by someone 18+ who meets all legal requirements.

Life Jackets Are Mandatory:

All riders must wear a U.S. Coast Guard-approved life jacket at all times.

Life jackets must be properly fastened and fit appropriately.

Cut-Off Switch Lanyard:

The operator must wear the engine kill switch lanyard attached to the wrist or life jacket.

Daylight Use Only:

Jet skis may only be operated from sunrise to sunset—no night riding allowed.

Speed & Distance Laws:

No driving within 50 feet of shorelines.

Maintain safe, controlled speeds—especially near the marina, jetties, and other congested areas.
