New Public Relations & Communications Manager Hired for Port Aransas Tourism Bureau

May 19th marked the starting day for the newest hire at the Port Aransas Tourism Bureau. Faith Thompson, a St. Louis, Missouri native, jumped into the role of Public Relations and Communications Manager for the team.
Faith is a graduate from Butler University in Indianapolis, Indiana, holding a Bachelor of Arts degree in Strategic Communications: PR and Advertising and Anthropology with certification in Critical Communications and Media Studies.
Despite being a recent graduate, Faith enters the position with valuable DMO experience. Faith had previously worked with Discover St. Charles (St. Charles, Missouri) and Visit Indy (Indianapolis, Indiana).
In her new role, Faith will be enhancing our destination’s reputation and economic growth by managing Port A’s media relations, crisis communications, and email marketing. She will also serve as a spokesperson for the organization to travel journalists and local media, while also attending local and national conferences to brand-build and advocate for Port Aransas.
Faith’s addition to the team highlights our continued dedication to sharing the Port A way of life.
