Flynn’s Beach Squad is your chance to roll up your sleeves, grab a grabber, and help keep Port Aransas beautiful! This fun and impactful volunteer program welcomes both locals and visitors who want to give back to the island. Squad members team up for trash cleanups across key spots like the beach, Alister Street, Cotter Avenue, Roberts Point Park, and other beloved areas around town. Whether you're here for a weekend or a lifetime, joining the Squad is a feel-good way to make a real difference—one bag of litter at a time.

Two Easy Ways to Make a Difference

Now there are two great ways to be part of Flynn’s Beach Squad and help keep Port Aransas beautiful!

1. Scheduled Group Cleanups

Ready to make a meaningful impact while enjoying the coast? Fill out the form below to schedule a beach cleanup for you or your group, and our team will coordinate the perfect time to meet up and give back. Just let us know your contact info, group size, and preferred dates—we’ll handle the rest! Whether you’re visiting Port Aransas or a local looking to show guests the spirit of the island, this is a fun and rewarding way to protect the place we all love.

2. Drop-In Anytime Cleanups

Don't have time for a scheduled cleanup? No problem! Stop by the Port Aransas Welcome Center during business hours, pick up a litter grabber and a reusable trash bag, and do your own cleanup whenever it suits you. Return the grabber when you’re done, and we’ll thank you with a small prize for doing your part to protect paradise!

Whether you join a group or clean on your own, Flynn’s Beach Squad is a fun, flexible way to care for the island and leave it better than you found it. 

Educational Beach Cleanups

Flynn’s Beach Squad is excited to partner with you to create an educational, engaging, and safe beach cleanup experience for your group! Whether you're planning a field trip for your class or bringing a Girl Scout or Boy Scout troop, this is a hands-on learning opportunity that empowers kids to make a positive impact on the environment.

To schedule a group cleanup, simply fill out the form below. We’ll work with you to find the ideal date and time, and we’re happy to tailor the experience to fit your group’s needs and age level. It’s a fun and meaningful way for students to learn about coastal conservation while giving back to the island!

Where do we meet?

You’ll find us on the right-hand side of Horace Caldwell Pier, next to the first covered picnic table. Look for a clear supply box with a trash grabber sticking out and a yellow bag hanging from it—that’s your sign you’re in the right spot!

Do I need to bring anything?

All you need are the essentials for a comfortable outdoor experience: water, sunscreen, sunglasses, and comfortable shoes to stay protected and hydrated. We’ll provide reusable yellow trash bags and trash grabbers, so you’re all set to jump in and make a difference!

Additional Information

All volunteers are required to sign a liability and release form before participating. Volunteers of all ages are welcome, but those 15 and under must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the entire cleanup.
