If you're flying in, the nearest major airport is the Corpus Christi International Airport, a scenic 40–45 minute drive to the island. Prefer to drive? Many visitors drive in from cities such as San Antonio, Dallas-Fort Worth, and Austin, enjoying scenic views as they approach Mustang Island. If you’re coming from the direction of Aransas Pass, you’ll love the free ferry ride; it adds a bit of fun to the journey, and you might even spot dolphins swimming in the channel. For those who prefer a more relaxed arrival, take Texas State Highway 361 and roll right into town.
